Why the network

The reasonable success of two successive bal vividhas in Kolkata (in 06 and again in 07), has shown that a platform for reaching out to teachers and students to exchange ideas and artifacts and demonstrate new techniques, is very much needed in West Bengal.

Many of us felt that bal vividha ought to continue as an annual event in Kolkata and spread to the districts too. For this to be possible, we need a sustainable, broad based network of like-minded organisations, with shared perspectives and goals:

to explore innovative methods in teaching-learning
to identify and discuss on problem areas in education
to devise strategies for making quality education available to all children

Call to all the participants

This wiki is starting as an outcome of the founding meeting of this network on March 19th at Max Mueller Bhavan in Kolkata. We will share our news, views and experiences in its pages and also plan the upcoming programmes.
